    Owner Comments:
Pontiac Roadster 'Ex- Mildred Pierce' This 1928 Pontiac is a second series 6-28 Sport Roadster that was refurbished under previous ownership before it was purchased by the selling dealer in 2025. The car is finished in gray with yellow bodyside stripes and black fenders, and power comes from a 186.5ci L-head inline- six paired with a three-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes four-wheel mechanical drum brakes, 2o inch wood-spoke wheels, a radiator mascot, turn signals, cowl lamps, a passenger-side spotlight, a black soft top, a rumble seat, a collapsible luggage rack, and a wood-rimmed steering wheel. This Series 6-28 Pontiac is now offered in Bremerton, Washington, with side curtains and New York registration. The roadster body was built by W.F. Stewart of Flint, Michigan, and it was refinished in gray with yellow bodyside stripes and black fenders under previous ownership. Equipment includes a radiator mascot, turn signals, cowl lamps, a passenger-side spotlight, running boards, a black soft top, and a single taillight The wood-spoke wheels are mounted with 4.75/5.00–20 inch BFGoodrich Silvertown bias-ply tires. A spare rim and tire are mounted out back. The Series 6-28 rode on a 110 inch wheelbase, and it features solid axles with semi-elliptical leaf springs. Braking is handled by four-wheel mechanical drums. The cabin features a bench seat trimmed in brown vinyl, along with color- coordinated door panels with contrasting dark brown storage pockets. A black textured rubber mat lines the floors. The wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts a painted steel dashboard with a central instrument panel housing an 80-mph barrel speedometer and gauges for fuel level, amperage, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 75k miles, and total mileage is unknown. The rumble seat is trimmed in black upholstery. A collapsible luggage rack is fitted in the footwell. The 186.5ci L-head inline-six is equipped with a single Stromberg updraft carburetor and was factory rated at 40 horsepower. Engine stamping P220235 is presented above, and the VIN listed on the New York registration is 220235. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a three-speed manual transmission. This car has Hollywood history, as it was featured prominently in the recent Amazon Prime series Mildred Pierce with Kate Winslet. The car is unmistakable in multiple episodes of the excellent period drama.
