The Midnight Rider selling NO RESERVE
This Story expires on: Wednesday Jan. 19, 2022

“Midnight Rider” limo takes center stage at McCormick’s Palm Springs event Feb. 25-27

After 35 years in business, Keith McCormick of the Palm Springs Collector Car Auction has auctioned every imaginable car, truck and motorcycle, even some boats and a fire engine or two.

At the upcoming Feb. 25 -27 auction, the world’s largest and heaviest limousine (recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records in 2004) will be an ultra-luxury limo named “Midnight Rider.” Click here to see The Midnight Rider featured on TV show The Worlds Most Expensive Rides

Pulled by a Peterbilt truck, it is 70 feet long with 22 wheels. It weights 25 tons and can carry 40 passengers in extreme comfort while listening to the Allman Brother’s song track that gave the limo its name.

It has four separate entertainment lounge areas and a full-size bar, all in a space of 416 square feet, the size of an efficiency apartment. The interior design was inspired by the Pullman railroad car used by President Grant in the 1800’s, with an added touch of Las Vegas panache.

The value is estimated at $2.5 million, built over a seven-year period by a California couple. It will be offered with “no reserve” or minimum price at the sales event.
